The Cooper family, Meemaw, and Mandy said grace and ate dinner. Sheldon wanted to talk to Missy via walkie-talkie. However, Missy didn't reply, so she put her walkie-talkie in front of Sheldon's door. Georgie went to Meemaw because he needed money for his wedding ring present to Mandy. George drove Mary, Sheldon, and Missy to the airport. Georgie and Mandy prepared their things before going to Mandy's parents to tell them about their engagement. Georgie also showed Mandy the ring he bought her. The Cooper family said goodbye to each other at the airport. Later, Sheldon told Mary that the famous scientist, Dr. Jan Voornewaard, was on the plane. There was heavy rain on George and Missy's way home. They started arguing. George threatened to send Missy to the army. Dale was installing security cameras in the Laundromat when Pastor Jeff entered. Dale then went to tell Meemaw. Meemaw went out to handle the situation. Mandy showed her parents the ring Georgie gave her. Mandy and Georgie discussed their wedding with Mandy's parents. Mandy's mother, Audrey, wanted a smaller ceremony under the circumstances. The problem was Mandy didn't want a small wedding, so they started to argue.
On the airplane, the seat belt sign went off, and Shendon immediately stood up and went to talk to the scientist. Mandy and Georgie were about to head off, but the rain was too heavy. At the Laundromat, everybody could hear an alarm. Dale and Meemaw moved everyone from the Laundromat into the gambling room, including Pastor Jeff. Missy saw a funnel cloud, so she and George had to exit the vehicle and lay low on the ground. The reason for that was that cars could get picked up by the strong winds. On the plane, Sheldon chated to Dr. Jan Voornewaard. Sheldon told the scientist he was spending the summer at The University of Heidelberg. Dr. Voornewaard said he was a visiting professor there. Mandy, Georgie, Audrey, and Jim took refuge in the bathroom. Audrey told Mandy that she and Jim weren't paying for a big wedding. Mandy said Georgie and her would pay for the wedding themselves. However, Georgie said they couldn't afford a big wedding because he spent all his savings on the ring Mandy wore. George and Mandy lay on the muddy ground while the storm passed through. At the gambling room, Meemaw advised Pastor Jeff to pray. The rain started to get smaller where George and Missy lay. The two got up, and Missy started to cry. She apologized to her father and promised that she would be better. Missy asked where the car was, and George pointed to his truck lying sideways on the road. Dale drove Meemaw back home. Debris was everywhere, and the most shocking thing to Meemaw was that the tornado destroyed her house. George, Missy, Georgie, Mandy, Dale, and Pastor Jeff helped Meemaw to look for anything still intact.
