A Summarized Version of Part One: Master and Apprentice

The Incident

Baylen Skoll and Shin Hati attacked a New Republic cruiser. They also rescued Morgan Elsbeth, who had been held captive on board.

The Map

Ahsoka Tano was looking for a map to find Grand Admiral Thrawn in some ruins. After she located it, some HK assassin droids attacked Tano, but she used her twin lightsabers to defeat them. However, they initiated self-destruct protocol, and Tano had to make a quick escape with the help of Professor Huyang, piloting a T-6 Jedi shuttle. New Republic Fleet Command then told Tano and Huyang about the attack via comms. Tano and Huyang then travelled to the Home One.

The Briefing

When Tano and Huyang arrived, they landed in one of the Home One's hangars. On the ship, General Hera Syndulla greeted them. Syndulla had prepared a briefing for Tano to catch up. In the briefing, Syndulla told Tano and Huyang about the damage the two mercenaries had done. Tano told Huyang to run a scan on the two mercenaries' lightsabers. Syndulla wanted to look at the map, but the key required to activate the map eluded Huyang. Syndulla told Tano their old friend, Sabine Wren, could help them.

The Celebration

There was a celebration happening on Lothal. It was the seventh anniversary of the Empire's defeat, and Governor Azadi was giving a speech. He said one of the heroes, Sabine Wren, would like to say a few words. He told security to do a full parameter sweep and find Commander Wren via comlink.

Escape

Meanwhile, Wren rode a speeder bike heading toward the old communications tower. Two New Republic E-Wings closed in and paced her on either side, Captain Porter and Luitenant Callahan. Captain Porter told Wren to stand down, but she didn't listen. She instead accelerated and dove under the other E-Wing, which Luitenant Callahan parked ahead on the highway as a roadblock. Wren fed her Loth-cat before watching Ezra Bridger's recording from the Battle of Lothal at the old communications tower. Bridger apologised for disappearing without telling her.

Obliteration

On Arcana, Baylan Skoll, an Inquisitor-styled warrior named Marrok, Shin Hati, and Morgan Elsbeth inspected the destroyed ruins. Elsbeth then sent Hati to Lothal to retrieve the map.

Tano's Arrival

That night, Wren had a nightmare about Ezra. When she woke up, a light was blinking. She went outside and saw two X-Wing accompanying Tano's T-6 into the city. In the capital, Tano parked her T-6 shuttle near a ledge on a high tower. Wren arrived while Tano was talking to Governor Azadi. Tano then told Wren that she knew a way to find Bridger. They both went inside Tano's T-6 Jedi shuttle and discussed some things. Just then, Huyang had an update. Huyang had scanned the two mercenaries' lightsabers. Huyang said that he recognised one of the two hilts. The one he knew belonged to Balan Skoll. Huyang told Tano that Skoll was Jedi trained. When Tano returned to the briefing room, Wren had already left with the map when Tano explicitly told her not to. In the meantime, Wren rode her speeder bike back to the old communications tower. A probe droid popped out from behind a signal crossing and reported back to Shin Hati, who stood miles away on a hilltop. Once Wren arrived at the communications tower, she gathered some documents and activated a holoprojector. Wren then started to study the star map.

Deciphered

On Tano's T-6, Tano and Huyang talked to a hologram of General Syndulla about Wren. Wren was still trying to solve the puzzle of the star map back in her home. She looked at a map of some ruins and suddenly realised how to unlock it. Wren rotated the sides of the round star map, and the map projected a star map of another galaxy. She went out the door and on a balcony. Wren then used a pair of binoculars and looked at the sky.

Ambush

Suddenly, a HK assassin droid attacked the Mandalorian worrier. Wren defeated her, but another droid grabbed her from behind. She managed to grab a blaster stored on the droid's back and blaster the foot of the HK. Wren managed to break free, but the other droid entered her home and grabbed the unlocked star map. The HK assassin droid also destroyed Wren's datapads and blasted the consoles. Wren told Huyang that she needed help via a comlink. Wren then went inside and grabbed her lightsaber. She rushed downstairs, and Shin Hati and the HK droid stood there. Wren ignited her lightsaber. Hati gave the star map to the HK droid and ignited her reddish-orange lightsaber. The two then began to duel. Their blades sparked against each other. Wren tried to retrieve the map, but Hati was a better lightsaber duelist. Tano tried to get to Wren as fast as possible, but it was too late. Wren raised her lightsaber above

her head to counterstrike, but Hati skewered her in the abdomen. Hati was about to finish Wren, but she saw the T-6, so Hati and the HK droid ran off.
