Hello there! I have summarised episode one of the Disney+ series, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, I Accidentally Vaporized My Pre-Algebra Teacher.

Warning: The following text contains spoilers for Percy Jackson and the Olympians (Disney+ series).

The Class Trip

Percy Jackson narrated that being a demigod was hard. He talked about how he saw strange things and his friendship with Groover Underwood. In the present, Percy, Grover, and the rest of his class at Yancy Academy were on a field trip to the MET. Percy recalled his visit with his mother, looking at a statue of Perseus, the ancient Greek hero. His mother, Sally Jackson, told him about the history of Perseus. Sally also told Percy why she named him after the Greek hero. At the entrance, the class was having lunch. Percy and Grover were sitting on the edge of a fountain, unpacking their lunches. Nancy Bobofit threw a slice of cheese at Grover, and Percy got up to retaliate. Percy lifted his arms, and without touching Nancy, she fell into the fountain. Nancy claimed that Percy pushed her.
Mrs. Dodds, the pre-algebra teacher, approached Percy. Mrs. Dodds questioned  Percy about where something was. She sprouted bat-like wings and attacked Percy. Percy then defended himself with a sword Mr. Brunner gave him, disguised as a pen. As the glowing sword lodged in Mrs. Dodds's gut, she disintegrated. Percy got up and asked Mr. Brunner where Mrs. Dodds was. Mr. Brunner said there was no one there called Mrs. Dodds. As the glowing sword lodged in Mrs. Dodds's gut, she disintegrated. Percy got up and asked Mr. Brunner where Mrs. Dodds was. Mr. Brunner said there was no one there called Mrs. Dodds.

Expelled

In an office, the headmaster of Yancy Academy talked to Percy and Grover about the incident during the class trip. Percy claimed that he didn't touch Nancy. Grover told the headmaster that he saw Percy pushing Nancy. Later, Percy was sitting on a bench with a suitcase. Mr. Brunner came over and comforted him. A school truck came, and Percy told Mr. Brunner he was going home.

Going to Montauk

In his apartment, he heard Gabe Ugliano, his stepfather, arguing with the super, Eddie. Eddie exited, and Percy came in. Gabe was lounging and playing poker on his laptop. Percy then went looking for his mom. She was sitting on the fire escape, listening to music. Percy apologized to his mom, Sally Jackson, who embraced him. Sally then gave Percy a small bag of blue candy. Sally then told Gabe that Percy and she were going to Montauk. Gabe was hesitant, but he ultimately agreed. Percy fell asleep on the car trip and dreamed of a figure speaking to him in a hissing and cold voice. He woke, and they were at the beach house. Inside, Sally started to tell Percy about his father.

She said that he was a half-blood and that Percy was the son of a Greek god. Percy didn't believe her. Suddenly, Grover pounded on the door and informed Sally that things were developing faster than anticipated. He said something was after them. Percy noticed that Grover was a satyr. Sally then hurried them to the car.

The Minotaur

Sally, Percy, and Grover then drove toward camp, a sanctuary for demigods. Grover explained about Mrs. Dodds, the Mist, camp, and demigods. The Minotaur was pursuing them at a fast pace. Suddenly, a truck collided with the Minotaur. The car swerved and crashed into a ditch. The three then proceeded to camp on foot. Sally then told Percy that she couldn't go into camp and made Grover swear to protect Percy. Sally then took Percy's coat, hoping to distract the Minotaur with a second trace of Percy's scent. Sally tried to distract the Minotaur, but it grabbed her, and she vanished into particles of golden dust. Percy
was furious and uncapped his sword. The Minotaur and Percy charged toward each other. Percy's sword connected with its horn, but the sword glanced off. Percy dropped his sword. The Minotaur's horns got tangled in some roots, and Percy used the chance to get on the creature's back one of its horns. Percy then used the horn to stab the Minotaur's head,

and it disintegrated.

Camp

Percy was lying down, and several kids stood over him. A centaur told them to give Percy space.
